This article explains the steps for setting up Call Tracking lines. Only Account Executives and BDM users have access to setting up Call Tracking Lines.
From the Menu Navigation Bar, select ADMIN, then select Tracking Line Management to access set up page.
Click on the “ADD TRACKING LINE” link in the top right to add a tracking line.
Select the Dealership that is associated with the new line from the Select Dealership drop-down box.
NOTE: If your dealership is not showing in the drop-down selection box, check your dealership profiles (under Admin-Dealerships). If your dealership is not listed there, please contact support.
Enter the Line Name for the new Call Tracking line.
Select Line Type. A LOCAL or TOLL-FREE number may be selected.
Note: Depending on your location, local area code numbers may be limited in availability.
If you do not see any local numbers, please confirm your dealership number has been entered correctly in your dealership profile, located in Admin-Dealerships. If your phone number is correct, and you still do not have any local phone numbers available to choose from, this just means that there are none available for you location at that time. However, new numbers are released as they become available so just keep checking back periodically if a local number is needed.
From the drop-down, choose a tracking number from the list provided.
Enter the "RINGS TO NUMBER".
IMPORTANT: This must be a number to a direct line that does not require an extension to be dialed before being answered.
By default, the new tracking line is set up to play a greeting message to alert the customer the call may be recorded.
IMPORTANT - Turn OFF this feature if...
A similar message is already in place.
A Whisper feature is being used.
To link the Call Tracking Line to a specific Campaign or Marketing Tool, turn on the link by clicking the box "Link Tracking Number to Campaign".
Note: This feature is only available for BDC Central users.
Click on the drop-down box to select desired Campaign or Marketing Tool.

Select Save to create the Call Tracking Line.
