A Lead Source is defined by how the Customer first came in contact with the Dealership. In BDC Central there are 6 Lead Sources for Sales and 5 Lead Sources for Service.
Each Lead Source is defined as follows:
Inbound Leads
Inbound Call - Also known as a Phone Up, this is where the customer initially contacts the dealership by phone.
Internet -This is where the customer has submitted an internet inquiry directly from the dealership's website.
Chat - This is where the customer has initiated a Chat conversation from the dealership's website.
Text - This is where the customer has initiated a Text conversation with the dealership.
Outbound
Walk In - (SALES only) This is where the customer walked into the dealership without an appointment or prior conversation with anyone at the dealership. It can also be a lead generated by a Sales Person.
Proactive Campaign - This is where the dealership or manufacturer generates a list to a targeted section of their customer database for a specific purpose.
