This article provides steps for viewing your Display Boards (Appointments Set and Concierge) on a TV monitor.
The following two options are covered in this article:
- Using Google Chromecast
- Using HDMI
Cast using Google Chromecast:
Note: This option requires a Chromecast device (Chromecast, Chromecast Ultra, TVs with Chromecast built-in). You also need to be using the Google Chrome web browser.
1) Log into BDC Central and bring up the Display Board you want to cast.
2) Click the Chrome Settings menu in the Chrome toolbar in the upper right corner of your browser > click "Cast..."...
3) This will bring up the casting window. First, make sure "Cast tab" is selected, by selecting "Cast to"...
4) Select "Cast tab"...
5) Then select your TV, or Chromecast enabled device...
6) Your Display Board should now be casting to your TV, which you can confirm by the blue square icon located in the browser tab...
When you're ready to stop casting, repeat steps 1 and 2, and click "Stop"...
Connect using HDMI:
Note: This option requires you to have an available HDMI port on both your computer and your TV
1) Connect one end of the HDMI cable to your computer and the other end to the TV
2) Switch your TV to the correct input. Use your TV's remote to turn it on and switch to the input that you have connected your computer. The inputs will usually have labels, such as "HDMI 1." Please refer to your TV's instruction manual for further assistance with this.
